What a whirlwind of a holiday season it has been here in Teton Valley and at Teton Valley Cabins! It seems like just yesterday I was taking my kids trick or treating. The next thing you know you start building fires in your stove and Bam! All of a sudden Grand Targhee is reporting feet of snow, and you are scrambling to get prime rib and presents. It happens in a blur, but if you are a little bit of a planner and can get the flexibility – you and your loved ones could sneak away from reality (and the built in stress of making your own holidays beautiful and bright) and join us sometime over the holiday week. With the combination of the excitement of Christmas, and the laid-back attitude of ringing in the New Year, Teton Valley Cabins strives to create a causal and comforting atmosphere while you are here. A Christmas preset from Mother Nature for snow enthusiasts started a few days early this year.
On December 23rd, it snowed over 2 feet, (FEET!) of the lightest, sugariest snow around. It was if Santa had come for adults! These types of serendipitous events allow all types of our guests to take in sunny, crisps days in the outdoors and then return to their cozy cabin and soak sore spots in the tub.
This is just one example of what you could look forward to when you plan your trip with us. This year for the week of Christmas and New Years, we offered an Apre ski hot cocoa bar in our lobby, so that “semi-frozen” guests could return from their adventures and warm up with chocolate, marshmallows and whipped cream!
If you missed us this year – don’t fret! Plan your trip for next winter season. Then sit back, relax, and wait for the powder to build up!!!
